Thin films of CoCr and CoCrX (X standing for Ni, Ta, Pt or other element) are deposited on flexible (PET) substrate, with dc-magnetron sputtering. Magnetic properties are measured with a vector VSM (vibrating sample magnetometer), structural properties with standard microscopy and spectroscopy techniques. Work on micromagnetic simulations of the magnetic properties of thin films is underway. For more details, see our publications. This research is (temporary?) stopped in december 2000.
