The French and the Mid-European SID chapters join forces to organize the 2005 Spring Meeting in Ghent, Belgium, from March 10th to 11th.
It is a yearly tradition for the SID Mid-Europe chapter to organises a spring and a fall meeting with technical and scientific presentations, attracting many European display professionals. This year, for the first time, the French chapter joins in.
The meeting will be hosted by the TFCG microsystems lab of Ghent University.
There are two special topics: Microdisplays & Projection; and Large Area Displays (including Flexible).
The conference co-chairs are Herbert De Smet and Alain Doré, and the program co- chairs are Brigitte Loiseaux and Kent Skarp.
As usual, the noon-to-noon meeting program includes around 20 presentations, plus a guided tour of the facilities of the hosting institute. In this case, the brand new cleanroom building of TFCG microsystems will be visited. In the afternoon of the second day, there will be an optional visit to the company BARCO, Belgian's pride in display technology.
