Compatibilities with other file formats

HMM7.x and predecessors

SPRAAK can handle all files used in HMM75 and its recent predecessors in the key format . However, it only uses the SPRAAK format on output and support for the older file types may gradually be phased out in the future.

Sample Files

SPRAAK supports direct import of many different kinds of sample files including WAV, SPHERE and SUNAU

HTK Acoustic Models

Conversion of HMM model files from HTK to SPRAAK is provided in spr_htk2key.c

ARPA Language Models

Conversion of ARPA style N-gram language models to the binary format in SPRAAK is done by spr_lm_arpabo.c [SPRAAK relies on external tools to generate N-gram language models]

Lattices and FST toolkits

Language models generated by external FST tools have been succesfully used with SPRAAK.
